Meet the Martins is a chance for our friends and customers to get to know our company a little better. It serves as a means of putting a face to our organization. In this segment, we’ll head over to our accounting department and meet Liz Antonaci.
From our school days, we all tend to remember that person who had a head for numbers. Fortunately at Martin Implement, we have one of those individuals handling our books. With a wealth of knowledge and accounting background, Liz started at our dealership in 2008 and facilitated the transition from a retiring Jerry Crosby. She keeps our company in balance in any number of ways; from reconciling reports and statements to lending a hand to all departments in the organization. Her calm demeanor serves both our staff and customers well. Being accustomed to working under deadlines, Liz consistently delivers timely and accurate results. Continue reading →
Brent was appointed Parts Manager for our South Elgin dealership in mid-June. You may already be familiar with him over the course of his 30 year tenure in the equipment industry. Brent got a jump start on his career while still in high school by working the parts counter at DeKane Equipment, where his father was a business partner. It wasn’t long before he worked his way up to become both Parts and Service Manager for the dealership; experiencing the progression of the equipment industry over the span of three decades. Brent held the same title at Russo Power Equipment before joining our team at Martin Implement. Continue reading →
Jim came aboard as a Parts Associate at our Orland Park location just as February was coming to a close. When he first began working in parts back in 2011, Jim will readily admit that he had a considerable learning curve to familiarize himself with the industry. Fortunately, he jumped at the chance wholeheartedly and was able to quickly earn the trust on his employer, who promoted him to a regional sales rep, and later as store manager.
With a background in automotive parts, Jim embraces the opportunity to move over to equipment industry. He’s eager to meet our customers and to deliver on the exceptional service that they’ve come to expect from Martin Implement. He can be reached at (708) 326-9525 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Additionally, his family operated a small farm where he became familiar working with tractors and production equipment. George is well versed in having the right inventory on hand and understands the sense of urgency required to meet pressing demands.

When you grow up in a farm family with ten siblings, you learn rather quickly how to become highly resourceful. Whether that means putting in sweat equity out in the fields or competing for your fair share at the dinner table. If the farm tractor breaks down, you get a quick course in Mechanics 101. So when Ed Martin first stepped foot into Martin Implement some 40 years ago, a year removed from high school, his learning curve towards becoming a seasoned equipment mechanic was more truncated than most peers his age. It’s likely not a coincidence that a person with French ancestry, like Greg Guimond, would wind up settling in the town of Bourbonnais. And so perhaps it was also preordained that Greg’s travels would lead him to a long and prosperous career at Martin Implement Sales. Greg found his calling in equipment parts, not long out of high school. After cutting his teeth in the business with local Massey Ferguson and Ford dealers, Greg came north to Orland Park in 1984 to be part of the Martin Implement team. Within six years, he was running the show as Parts Manager for the dealership. Continue reading →
Perhaps it’s true that you can take the kid out of the country, but not the country out of the kid. Raised on a farm in Tamalco, Illinois, located in downstate Bond County, Sam Langham grew up with a healthy curiosity for machinery and the way things operate. That interest eventually led him up Interstate 57 to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where he enrolled in Agricultural Communications. That curriculum offered Sam the opportunity to combine his farm background with a passion for photography, which resulted in a photojournalism assignment for the College of Veterinary Medicine as well as a stint on the photo staff for the school newspaper, The Daily Illini.
