Every year Total Landscape Care Magazine has a “Landscaper of the Year” contest in which they recognize landscapers from around the country for the services they offer, the quality of their work and their involvement in the community. Last summer after posting a press release of a recent project, Eric Bruss, owner of Bruss Landscaping got a call from TLC Magazine encouraging his company to enter.Little did he know that he’d be one of the twelve finalists in 2013 – a fact that he’s very proud of. “I was quite pleased to know that we were receiving national recognition for the company my family has built for over three generations”, Bruss said.

The contest finalists all received a free one-year lease of a New Holland 200-Series skid steer or compact track loader, supplied by local dealers. As a sponsor of the event, New Holland Construction was proud to give these businesses a powerful new machine to add to their fleet. In the case of Bruss Landscape, the machine was supplied by Martin Implement. We were excited to lease a brand new C232 track loader to Eric and his team, who have been fans of the brand for many years, “We bought our first skid loader, a New Holland, in the mid-eighties. It was a reliable machine and we instantly saw the benefits. That taught me what I needed and I am a loyal New Holland customer with six machines plus my new C232!”

Bruss, who had never used a 200-Series machine before, said he was excited to add the machine to his fleet, noting that, “the track operation of the machine and its reduced potential for lawn damage” will be a major benefit on the job site. Knowing that the machine came from Martin Implement will also give him piece of mind. When asked why he’s continued to work with us since the mid-eighties, Bruss had three words come to mind, “Upfront, reliable and honest. It’s all a contractor can ask for and it’s the same thing that our clients ask of us”.

Congratulations, Bruss Landscaping! It’s a well deserved honor and we know you’ll enjoy your brand new machine.
